Jason Vassallo continues his domination of the premier snooker league sending Joel Attard to his 3rd loss in a row. Sean Caruana made a great comeback from 1 frame down to defeat Keith V. Muscat 2-1 in the 1st division snooker league Adrian Borg continues his good form in the 2nd division snooker league beating Loreto Spiteri 2-0.

Adrian Borg managed to come from behind in the 2nd frame of the 2nd division snooker league to win both frames against Loretu Spiteri who I have to say was very unlucky to come out of this match with no points. Mario Attard was penalized 2 points for awarding Charles Spiteri with a walk over in the other 2nd division match.    

Jason Vassallo and Jason Portelli both won their billiards matches with ease. In an epic battle James Mercieca beat Joel Attard 2-1 by potting the last 4 balls in the third frame. In billiards Dennis Bowker  made an incredible 55pt break beating Shaun Sultana's previous record.

The 2nd round of all the competitions begins today Thursday 25th March. All the groups have been posted on the website. The fixtures will be entered into the website by this weekend.

Jason Portelli and Joe Pisani got through to the 2nd round of the snooker 1st division by beating Christian Spiteri and Saviour Vella respectively. Joe Pisani ended up tied with Dennis Sciberras on points but Joe won the head to head match with Dennis. Saviour ends up finishing in last place and will be relegated to playing in the 2nd division next season.    

The Anglo Maltese one day tournament proved to be another enjoyable and successfully event organized by the Gozo Snooker Association for all the players and spectators. The first round of snooker continues with important wins for Joel Attard in the Premier Division Christian Spiteri in the 1st Division and both Joseph Buttigieg and Dennis Mampalao in the 2nd Division solidifying their chances of making it into the 2nd round.
