Keith V. Muscat suffered his first defeat at the hands of Dennis Sciberras in the first Division by the score of 2-0.  In the 3rd Division Flavio Gerardi continued in his current good form by beating Anthony Mizzi 2-0. In Billiards the Champion Mario Apap made it 2 in a row beating James Sultana 150-86. In other news both Peter Pace's games where postponed for next weekend.

Mario Apap sealed a victory over Simon Vella with an emphatic 50 point break to clear the table in the 2nd frame and won the match 2-0.

James Sultana won both his Billiards match and his 1st division Snooker match last night to register his first win in both tournaments. In the premier division Jason Vassallo is on a roll winning his 2nd game in a row against Joel Attard. Joel played well but Jason the 5 time premier champion held his ground and won both frames. In the 3rd division Anthony Scicluna started his campaign on a positive note beating Elliot Fenech 2-0. The Billiard match between Dennis Bowker and Jason Vassallo started with Dennis gaining a comfortable lead, only for Jason to come from behind and make it a nail biting finish by winning 150-146. In other news Shaun Sultana ran away with the first frame against Simon Vella, but had to fight to win the second frame by a close margin, finally potting the pink.

Emanuel Grech played a great game to defeat the current billiards champion Mario Apap in a game between 2 of the top 4 players. Shaun Sultana had a 50 point break in the process of beating Victor Camilleri in billiards. James and Sam Sultana's game turned into a fight to the end when Sam came from behind to tie James at 149-149. At that point both players where feeling the pressure when Sam missed an easy "in off" to set up James up for an easy red pot. James missed, only to set up Sam who finally closed the match. Easy win for Jason Vassallo in billiards. A great match between James Mercieca and Simon Vella in snooker where Simon was trailing and came back to win two games to nil. In the last frame James had a 34 point break but Simon replied with a 37 point break to come from behind and clinch a victory. Sean P. Caruana showed some great form against Joe Pisani to win 2-0.

Dennis Bowker survived a scare in billiards to start the season with a win. Joe Pisani put up a great fight, but the wily veteran held his nerve and with three breaks in a row wrapped up the game. In other news, Peter Bonello started off with a win to defend his title. Shaun Sultana proves his worth as a legitimate contender for the premier league crown by beating Mario Apap 2 - 0
