The semi final between Sean P. Caruana and Jason Portelli turned into one of the best comeback stories of the year. After trailing 2-0 Jason came back to tie the match 2-2 at the end of the first session. Sean started the 2nd session by winning the first frame but Jason did not fold under the pressure and instead fought back with a vengeance to win the next 3 frames and close off the match 5-3.

Jason Vassallo started his match dominating Simon Vella by winning the first 3 frames, but in a surprise comeback, Simon beat the odds and held his nerve to win the next two frames. This will make Wednesday's second session a match to look forward to.
